Cheryl Bailey is an artist who lives in Byron Bay.

Her greatest inspiration comes from simplcity in life -
beautiful meals shared with friends, books, movies and her family.

Bailey's work is subjective.

The foundation of her art is to see a subject and recreate it's essence on canvas.

Her surfaces are often created using a mixture of paint, paper, photographs, sand and wax capturing a translucent and lyrical quality which translates feelings and thoughts into form.

Bailey has had three solo shows:

'In a Single Breath' was held in Mullumbimby at Art Piece Gallery,

'Rufus' was held at the Northern Rivers Community Gallery in Ballina.

'Memory Lane' was held in Lismore, Armisteads Gallery at Luv a Coffee.

Bailey spent the month of May 2015 at an artist in residency at Cherrycake Studios in George Town, Penang. Malaysia

She has participated in countless group shows:                                                                    The Border Art Prize 2015 opening at the Gold Coast City Gallery 25 July
